Father Jack

  • Abandoned his Roman Catholic religion for the African religion- he doesn't realise
  • Brought shame to the family- they don't mention this
  • Kate tries too steer him back to the Catholic religion
  • Sick with malaria
  • Mentally confused- mixes up names
  • Has trouble remembering English words
  • Represents paganism
  • Frequently refers to local spiritual practises in Uganda
  • Was Michael's 'hero' in pictures
  • Wireless and Father jacks return- linked to change
